Although the city of Colima has many natural tourist hot spots and it does give you the chance to enjoy many day time activities which will surely make your trip to this city memorable but when it comes to nightlife the city of Colima badly lags behind. The city of Colima has many beaches, mountains, desert, historical museums, archeological sights, and two very huge volcanoes which will surely make your day. You will hardly get time to relax during the day as there are many tourist hot spots which will fill your day with excitement. But as the sun sets and night hits the town then you will surely find it hard to enjoy your night stay in this city of Colima.

We agree that nightlife in Colima City might not be that exciting when compared to its neighboring town Manzanillo (which is just 1 hour away via road from the city of Colima) but this doesn’t mean that the city only sleeps during night hours. Although the city of Colima is a lot more conservative when compared to other cities of Mexico yet you will get hold of some bars and night clubs. The few bars and night clubs which this city has usually remain open till 3:00 AM in morning and hence if you get hold of some bar or nightclub then you can be rest assured that your night stay in this city will be little better than zero. Though the city of Colima is very fashionable yet the nightlife mania hasn’t yet hit the city totally.

If you really want to enjoy your nightlife in the city of Colima then you must plan to visit this city during the month of December as during these days you will get the chance to participate in the Virgin Celebration which is held annually during the Christmas season. During this festival various adult and child participants pull a wagon which possesses the huge statue of virgin. The sight of lighted candles under the moon light and the sound of people singing various songs is truly awesome.

Else you can hit the city of Colima on the day of Mexican Independence. The evening of this day is like a carnival with handcraft stalls, lots of fireworks, and some delicious food.
