Johor Baharu Nightlife, Malaysia
You are visiting Johor Bahru to work or just for fun, and wish to find out the options of nightlife entertainment this bustling city provides. This article puts in together some information on the same theme. JB offers happening nightlife with its array of karaoke bars, restaurants, cinemas and night markets.
Karaoke clubs are very popular, and you will find a number of them in the downtown commercial area. Most of these clubs offer private rooms for people who wish to sing aloud in private parties. Almost all of the clubs remain open until 1 am, but you can stay until the wee hours of the morning inside. Drinks and food are available at the clubs. If you visit the clubs at odd hours, like very early evening, you may bring in your own food. The charges for the rooms are on hourly basis and also vary according to the size of the room.
The night markets are an exotic experience too. These markets shift locations daily, so you will have to get the information beforehand about the night's location. You can buy raw and cooked food, utensils, household items and other clothes in these markets. The night markets are places to eat, drink and be merry, as well as buy variety of tidbits.
In JB, like all of Malaysia, coffee shops are more popular than beer bars. They are great places to order some food and coffee and watch people around. You will also be entertained by local singers at least until midnight, singing English, Hindi and Malay songs.
The best places to have hard drinks are the sole outlet of TGI Fridays and the Duty Free Complex. A point to remember here is that some of the pubs, discotheques and karaoke bars are controlled by Chinese frequenters, who may not always accept foreign visitors cordially. You should know when to take the hint.
