Viking Triangle
Cultural quarters in Waterford are something a traveler can never miss to visit. The Viking Triangle is one of the most ancient of these cultural buildings. Encircled by original 10th century fortifications, this part of the city was at one time a flourishing Viking city.
Mothel Abbey
Yet another important must-see site in Waterford is the Mothel Abbey. Rebuilt by the Power Family, the monastery was originally constructed in the 6th century by St Cuan. A tomb by Roricus O'Comayn is one of the finest features of the abbey here.
The Mall
Constructed by the Wide Streets Comission, the Mall is also a wonderful place to visit. The fine thoroughfare features some fantastic Georgian architecture. Also located close by is the People’s Park, the largest park in Waterford.
Dungarvan
It is the administrative capital of the county of Waterford. Picturesquely positioned on the Dungarvan Bay, it is famous for being the starting point for many a scenic drive. The city was established by the Anglo-Normans in the 12th century. The town offers some wonderful options of deep sea angling along with providing nice walking trails.
