With the current conflict in Baghdad, Iraq, it can be hard to find things to do and see. Baghdad is considered to be dangerous and unsafe. The main thing you need to consider is security and transportation when exploring Baghdad. Most foreigners hire a personal security guard of a team of guards for protection. Most people travel around Iraq by helicopter and use armored cars to negotiate the majors streets and highways.

Inside the green zone or international area, there are night time attractions to enjoy. The main event is drinking in the area bars. Many companyieshave established bars in this are. Some are foreign security companies that provide services in the rebuilding of Baghdad. While a few bars are strictly offered only to employees, some open their doors to the public. There are many local sites in Baghdad, but most are not safe by night due, to the military events that take place during the late night hours.

Most Iraqis and tourists alike choose to stay within the green zone and stay in during the evening. They choose to explore Iraq's many cultural sites and festivities during the day. Many of these places have been endangered during the recent bombings and riots. However, the locals are working hard to restore cultural sites. There are also many private investors looking to put new attractions in Iraq. In the coming years, Iraq investors plan to build a new Farris wheel and an exclusive island oasis on the river. This new resort will be located on an island once used by many Iraqis during their honeymoon. It will include deluxe accommodations and an 18 hole golf course. While these attractions are still in the building stages, they will soon add to the night life in Baghdad. Just be careful when you are visiting Iraq in the present, and enjoy the many sites that are still available.
