Solapur lies in Maharashtra and is located very close to the Karnataka Maharashtra border.

There might not be that many tourist attractions here in Solapur but for those who still want to dig the city off, Solapur has respectable number of tourist attractions that are worth a visit at least once.

Recently, Adlabs Cinema opened up here in Solapur with the seating capacity of around 650 people. This and other Cinema Halls have always been working hard to attract those tourists that visit the city. Some famous food outlets here in Solapur are Krishna Ice Cream Center, Sips n Bytes, and Tajoddin. All of these outlets are very famous amongst the youth of Solapur and one will always find some locals all the other flocking these hot spots every now and then.

Tourists can also enjoy the design and architecture of Lord Siddharameshwar’s Temple. This temple is one of its kind in Solapur and is very famous for its unique design that reflects the capabilities of architects during those early medieval years.

Another tourist hot spot is Kambar Lake which is famous for its lush green surroundings and scenic beauty. This lake was recently named to Sambhaji Lake and it has huge chunk of green trees around it that is enough to attract lots of tourists.

Hipparga Lake is another famous tourist destination well famous amongst the tourists due to its scenic beauty.

Hutatma Garden was built in the memory of those who were hanged due to the riots which broke out in Solapur during the times when British Army had ill - treated the Father of India, Mahatma Gandhi. The prominent ones who were hanged in the Pune Jail were Shri Kisan Sarda, Shri Jagannath Shinde, Shri Kurban Hussein, and Shri Mallappa Dhanshetti.

Other famous tourist destinations which are located near the city of Solapur are HYDRA, Akkalkot, Pandharpur Vithoba Temple, Naldurg Fort, and Barshi 'Bhagvant' Temple etc.
