An excellent mix of Muslim and Hindu population is living happily in the city of Bhopal. Bhopal is famous for the number of lakes which are located in and around the city. To start with one can visit the Upper Lake (which is famous by the name of Bada Talab amongst the locals). This Upper Lake is famous for the beautiful atmosphere which surrounds the lakes. Around the area of Upper Lake one will easily find many wild animals as that area has been purposely created by the local government with the aim of making it an animal conservation area.

Lower Lake (famous by the name of Chota Talab amongst the local inhabitants) was built by the Mughals. Both these lakes, Upper Lake and Lower Lake, are connected to each other by a bridge.
