The city of Allahabad is a scared city in the country and as such many people visit the area every time. This area is known to the world as the site of an event that happens every 12 years; during this time pilgrims visit the area. The most sacred place in the area is the Triveni Sangam and this stands at the confluence of the three holiest rivers according to the Hindu mythology.

Almost all sites in the area are linked to religion and to the areas visited by the pilgrims. But this doesn't mean that these are just the things and the activities that can be offered by the area. There are other noteworthy places and good activities that can be done in the area, just waiting to be learned and explored.

To get the best experience from the area, the visitor is expected to explore the outdoors and to check out the many things that can be delivered by Allahabad. For the first time visitor, it is suggested to take a dip at the Sangam. You can do that as part of your spiritual exercise and can be done as well in order to refresh the body. A boat ride down the Yamuna is a nice activity as well or visitors can walk down the new Yamuna Bridge. In terms of the nightlife, then the city does not offer the same kind of nightlife that can be seen and observed in many modern cities in the region and in the continent. But then if visitors may want to sample the cityscape of the area at night, then there are some bars and restaurants in the area that can be checked.

One such bar and restaurant that can be visited is located at the top floor of the Kanha Shayam hotel. After checking of this place then there are a number of cafes and bars that can be visited in the area. The old-time Hasty Tasty restaurant is another good place and other good venues include the Hotel Milan, Hotel Regency and the Tourist Bungalow. These hotels and restaurants are all situated in Civil Lines. These restaurants and bars also offer chilled beer and also other alcoholic drinks.

But don't expect that all the bars and restaurants here in the area will offer alcoholic drinks. Some usually take these items off the menu card. Remember as well that drinking in public is not allowed in the area.
