Mulhouse Nightlife, France
With a rich history and a multicultural tradition, Mulhouse is a number one tourist destination, right in the heart of Alsace. Strolling around Mulhouse’s historic center, with its 19th century and medieval picturesque houses is an unforgettable experience. But much more will be revealed for those willing to adventure into the absorbing Mulhouse nightlife. (it may not compete with Paris Nightlife, but it can please and even surprise most tourists)
Mulhouse Nightlife – Restaurants
Even if you spend only one day in Mulhouse, dining out shouldn’t be missing from your priority list. Mulhouse is where German, French and Swiss cuisine merge together to give birth to fantastic combinations: cock in Riesling, Munster tart, carp in beer, roast goose, cherry soup or flammenkueche (baked tart).
Mulhouse nightlife regularly starts in the afternoon, on the terrace of a brasserie (Brasserie O’Neil, Brasserie du Lerchenberg or Brasserie Bierstuwa), creperie (Creperie Crampuos Mad) or café (Café Moll, Café Most, Café Rey). Regional delicacies can be tasted in a cozy atmosphere at locally owned restaurants like: Le Rustique, Aux Caves du Vieux Couvent, Le Florentin, Au Vieux Moulhouse. Don’t forget to accompany your feast with some wine, as the Wine Route ends only 20 minutes drive from Mulhouse, at Thann. Foreign cuisine is also represented by Thai (Pum Thai), Italian (Il Cortile) and Indian (Le Maharajah) restaurants.
Mulhouse Nightlife – Pubs, Taverns and Nightclubs
Alsace is also the right place to taste a wide range of beer varieties. Pubs like Le Festival, Murphy’s or Cotton Club are most fitted for such an activity. Other appreciated bars include: Charlie’s Bar, Scotch Bar, Zum Klapperstei, La Nef Des Fous or Wallaby’s. To end your night in triumphant way, you can go and hit the dance floor in one of the numerous nightclubs – called ‘discotheques’ in France: La Salle des Coffres, Le Crocodille or Le Valentino, hosting thematic dance nights or some famous French DJ’s. If you are planning an escapade, Strasbourg is not so far (find out more from the Strasbourg Nightlife guide).
Mulhouse Nightlife – Cultural Activities
Mulhouse is home to three cinemas (Cinema Bel Air, Kinepolis and Cinema Gerard Philippe), two theatres (Theatre de la Sinne, Theatre de Poche) and several concert halls: Noumatrouff, La Filature, L’Entrepot and Parc des Expositions.
