 There are a lot of activities that you can do during the day whatever the season is. The cultural activities last the whole day keeping busy the tourists as well as locals alike. The sights and structures that should be visited are always entertaining as well as informative. These structures are open in most seasons which made Kuopio a favorite tourist destination in Finland. 

Nightlife in Kuopio is also impressive. The bars and clubs are usually found in the center of the city and they are very easy to spot as they are found in one area. Your preference of nightly entertainment will always be catered. You can find a restaurant where you can just sit back and relax with a cold beer. If you want to have a livelier atmosphere, there are bars and clubs that feature club music all night long. You can find most tourists in these places, as they want to continue the fun during the night.  

Live music though is not that popular in Kuopio. Since most of the bars feature club music, live music is only available during weekends. The bars are very full during the weekends because of the increased number of tourists. Although not all bars feature live music during weekends, you will always end up in a bar with live music after visiting a one or two clubs.  

The bars in Kuopio are highly regulated in terms of persons allowed in their bars and clubs. The general rule is that those under 20 are not allowed inside a bar in any day for whatever reason. The age requirement is increased to 22 during weekends. This is common in clubs and bars that have more adult themed entertainment. 

When it comes to clothing, you should remember that Kuopio is usually cold but the bars and clubs are usually warm and could even be hot especially if you are in a packed club. That is why it is recommended to be appropriately dressed for the club but with a jacket to protect you from the cold outside.  

But if the clubs are bars are not your cup of tea, you can still enjoy the city by merely going around and appreciating the well lighted structures in Kuopio. You can enjoy Kuopio in the bars and clubs but you can also enjoy Kuopio with a magnificent view of different structures at night.
