Toompea, the old city, is chock full of restaurants destined especially for the tourist crowd. Kohvik Moskva is classier than your regular coffee shop, and it sports a vintage Soviet décor and a somewhat nostalgic ambience. Musi is a wine bar with a good selection of domestic and foreign wines. The place is very cozy and pleasant, and there are also some light dishes that can be enjoyed alongside an excellent glass of wine. Hell Hunt is a small pub in the old city where you can find a huge selection of beer brands, including two local brews.

Although Tallinn is not a large city by European standards, it has a surprisingly lively and diverse nightlife. Von Krahl is located in the city centre, and it is not only a successful indie nightclub, but it is also a theatre. This place is a favorite venue for local bands as well as internationally acclaimed musicians. Bonbon is a pricey and rather exclusive place with a stylish interior and good music. The largest nightclub in Tallinn is Hollywood, a five-floor club with different styles of music and a usually lively crowd.

Although Tallinn is quite safe by day, it is recommended that you take a taxi back to your hotel after a night-out.
