Some visitors coming from large crowded cities might be surprised how lively and vibrant nightlife in Varazdin can be. Varazdin Nightlife – Pubs & Bars

Varazdin Nightlife is really diversified and pretty enlivened. Snug pubs and bars are ideal for enjoying a pleasant evening. Most of them are open at night and they are just the right hangout places for both visitors and locals as well.

Green Pub is a nice place for having a cup of hot chocolate or a pint of beer into a calm atmosphere. The place has been nicely decorated and its staff is quite hospitable and friendly. A very nice club can be found in the city. If you want to enjoy yourself among the fun crowd, do not hesitate and go to Club Versus. It is a good place to hang out. DJs play hip hop music in the so be prepared for a wild night.

Mabis and Terapija are also great places for hanging out. Good people can be met there and the stuff’ services are irreproachable.

Ritz House is a fine café-bar, situated downstairs of the Ritz house, looking partly to the Main Square. It provides a good spot from where you can watch the parade during the Festival of the Baroque Evenings or simply watching the passers-by during the summer nights.

Varazdin Nightlife – Varazdin’s Annual Festivals

Varazdin is known as a very popular destination for the summer holidays. Various actions are taken to attract thousands and thousands of tourists. The most important of them are the two annual festivals held close to the Varazdin Touristic Season. The Špancir Fest begins at the end of August and lasts for ten days. It is mostly a street walking festival. Lots of artists, musicians, street entertainers and simply vendors, animate the streets till the next morning when it is a new start. The ten-day long entertainment and fun in the streets of the medieval city can turn your nights into the most enchanting ones.

At the end of September, Varazdin becomes the host of the Festival of Baroque Evenings. It is held to honor baroque music. The world famous classical musicians are invited to perform during the festival. It also gathers thousands of tourists and baroque music lovers from all over the world. Varazdin nightlife becomes tumultuous again.

Croatian National Theatre, built in 1873, offers a full season of musical and theatrical performances, which is a great opportunity for spending an entertaining evening for both tourists in town and locals.
