On the eastern side of Santiago de Cali lies the River Cauca while on the western side lies the Western Mountain Range (also famous by the name of Farallones de Cali). The other two sides are plain land which extends to the two cities of Yumbo and Jamundi. Many small rivers that emerge from Western Mountain Range pass through the metropolitan region of Santiago de Cali. The government of Santiago de Cali is working hard on Masivo Integrado de Occidente (called as MIO in short) which is being built to regulate the multiple buses and the traffic of Santiago de Cali. There will be around 9 different corridors (typically roads) under this project.

The second largest Airport of Columbia is located in the proximity of Santiago de Cali and this airport itself serves for the travelers who want to use air transport. The design of this airport is also unique in itself as it is situated between two huge mountain ranges. The airport extends from south to north and you will rarely find such an airport somewherle else.
