Xian Nightlife, China

Xian, China has a very varied and fun-loving nightlife. You can find something to suit your fancy in just about any area of town. There are restaurants, clubs, bars, pubs, discos, and internet cafes throughout the entire city. Xian is a very high tech city and as such, can meet the needs of the most discriminating technology buff.

If you are looking for a unique experience in Xian, consider the Tan Dynasty Dinner Show. This is an outstanding value, as you dinner is included as well. The show is over an hour and a half long, and the dinner is a four course meal. The play is usually three or four acts, with multiple costumes. Reservations are recommended and the show is usually full. Dress code is very smart and classy.

Before heading out to your theater or club, be sure to check out the Terracotta Warriors. This is one of China’s most memorable historical sites. These soldiers were only unearthed back in 1974 by a well-digging peasant. The First vault uncovered 6000 warriors and 2 don’t look alike. This was built for the Emperor Qin Shihuang, who is credited for unifying China around 221 BC. These soldiers were meant to be a monument to this great Emperor, even after he had died.

Shopping is also a great nightlife pastime. Many of the stores in Xian are open late to accommodate the tourists. The Muslim Quarter is rather unique, as you feel as though you are stepping back into the Middle East. There are many souvenir restaurants, food vendors, and small restaurants. There is a wide variety of Middle Eastern cuisine.

You’ll also find the Great Mosque close by. Be forewarned. It is very easy to get lost in this area of the city. This is truly one of the great cities of China and should be considered when vacationing to this great country.
