Shengjin Pagoda is one such sight that you cannot afford to ignore. This pagoda was constructed in the early tenth century during the Tang dynasty. But it could not resist the ruthless blows of the past and had to be rebuilt during the Qing dynasty in 1713. This is the tallest historical structure made of wood and brick in Nanchang. Another fabulous construction that stands on the banks of the Ganjiang River is the Tengwang tower. The tower was originally constructed in 653 AD but was burnt down in 1926. The reconstruction of the tower was carried out in 1989. This 57.5 meters tower has a double caved roof with beautifully decorated columns supporting the enormous structure.

Another popular architectural attraction is the 2500 years old Temple of Qingyupu. Then there is another temple called the Nengren Temple on the outskirts of the town. This temple has been here since the 6th century. The temple has a number of beautiful buildings on the premises where you can witness some great works of art.
