As per the latest census of 2006 the population of Deline was around 525 inhabitants. Its total area of stretch is around 80 square kilometers, more than enough for such a small population.

The population density of Deline is around 7 inhabitants per square kilometer. Mostly, the small population of Deline is made up of Sahtu and Dene inhabitants (both being the Aboriginal people of the old Canada) that speak North Slavey as their major language. Slavey enjoys official status in the North Western Territories of Canada and it is a famous Athabaskan language.
