Vancouver Nightlife, British Columbia
Vancouver in Canada is one of the most famous places in the world, and is a much- visited and widely appreciated tourist destination. The internationally renowned Stanley Park located in the city has drawn in hundreds and thousands of tourists to Vancouver, Canada each year. Known for its natural beauty, the city of Vancouver is famous for its numerous parklands, gardens and natural forests. For nature lovers, Vancouver is like heaven on earth, with endless trails and paths to walk on and beautiful woods and forest areas to explore.
Initially the nightlife in Vancouver, Canada could be described to be somewhat limited and strictly regulated. With a number of laws ordaining the early closing down of all bars and nightclubs, as well as a number of other decrees in place, it was apparent that the authorities governing the city were disinclined to allow the nightlife and party scene in the city to expand any further. However, in recent years, a change has been observed in the form of relaxation of a number of rules. For one, the bars and nightclubs are now legally granted the allowance to remain open until much later. Also, many more establishments have been opened and an effort has been made to revive the nightlife of the city and take it to its maximum potential.
Downtown, around the locale of Granville Street, has been paid much attention to. Vancouver has indoctrinated the hip hop dance and music culture into the sphere of the entertainment opportunities the city provides. The Opus Hotel in Yaletown is extremely popular, with people from all parts of the city, and even the country, coming to visit the Opus Bar. The bar boasts of some tantalizing wines, both imported and exported, as well as some tempting spirits that are not only delectable but also very attractive in the visual sense. The menu includes some mouth- watering dishes, many of which are actually specialties. Some of these include the Yuzu-spiced Garlic Wings, the shish kebob and the merguez corn dog.
Another famous hotspot is the Red Room. Originally known as the Drink Nightclub, the joint is famous for featuring musical performances and concerts by some extremely well- and internationally known artists. The live band at Roxy’s is another attraction, catering to the requests of the audience, which, mingled with the excellent cocktails, makes for an infectiously enthusiastic and enjoyable atmosphere.
