Heracleion was a great disappointment, Herakleion, Greece

The big capital city, touristically overcrowded and offering mostly the typical tourist shops, selling all the rubish you know from other cities. If you go on the outskirts, its often not very clean and doesnt offer very good places to go to eat or drink a coffee. The archaeological museum is worth a visit, but besides that is doesnt offer very much more, than the airport on the island. Well, one thing was still pozitive, most of the locals speak English and there are some good restaurants in the city, but that you can find anywhere else in Greece.
