The best thing about the Red Wall Hotel was that it was really close to the main attractions that we wanted to visit, such as the Forbidden City, Beihai Park and Tiananmen Square. Though I didn't expect so much from the hotel, I've read some negative reviews concerning the accommodations, but I was pretty satisfied. My room was clean and fresh, the bathroom updated, and everything was in order; though I noticed in the hall that the paint was coming off on some places, but that's just minor.

If you're not in Beijing for the accommodation and it is not compulsory for you to sleep in a luxurious surrounding, than I'd say the Red Wall hotel is a reasonable choice for a few nights stay, especially that it is so close to the major attractions of the city.
