 Ta'izz: Calm Night Life 

Ta’izz is the third largest city in Yemen and great Islamic learning center. While it incorporates much of the internationalization with excellent roads and an international airport, it has no serious nightlife as compared to other cities of attraction in different non-Islamic countries.

There are many places of attractions that can charm one’s Ta’izz tour such as Al Ashrafia, Al Mu’tabia (existing since 13 century) and Al Mudhaffar mosques. One can also carry on visiting the Green Valley Club and Ta’izz Tourist club with excellent dinner and recreations. Officially, Ta’izz is a dry city and it is serious crime to keep even a bottle of wine. However, tourists other than Yemenis are allowed to carry two bottles of wine and can consume in a private lounge or shelter. One can enjoy coffee, tea and other food in some plush restaurants of Ta’izz and relish ones palatal desires.

While in Ta’izz, to enjoy its nightlife, you can choose from four star hotels like Sofitel and watch the exquisite sunset over the Jebel Saber Mountains. On the other hand, you can plunge into a cozy chair with sips of coffee after a delicious dinner. The reading room is also remote in the corners to give you ample privacy to delve into the book. In addition to this, you can visit “suq” a market place where you will find the sellers loaded with handcrafted jewelry, coffee, baskets, pottery, bread and cheese. Walking in the suq is relaxing and you can enjoy the evening and the night crawling. But do not get too late as the suq are not open late hours.

Another way of enjoying nightlife in Ta’izz is joining the celebration of local festivals that are carried out annually. Eid, Al Badah and other festivals organized by the Yemen Tourist Department are some that add to the liveliness of Ta’izz’s nightlife.
