If you are looking for nightlife entertainment in Chesapeake, there aren't too many places to go. However, in the neighboring cities of Norfolk, Newport News, Tidewater, and Virginia Beach, you will not have a problem finding great bars, clubs, or hang out spots to enjoy your nights on vacation.

One of your many choices is Mitty's NightClub, which is located in Newport News, Virginia. This is one of the hottest spots to enjoy the nightlife of the state when you are visiting Chesapeake. Mitty's NightClub is the place to go to listen to hot local bands, as well as dance music. This is the only night club in the area that hosts its own live radio broadcast with the DJ mixing tunes instead of background music or a radio jock on Saturdays. The operation hours are every day of the week, opening at 7:30 in the evening and closing at 2:00 in the morning.

Peabody's of Virgina Beach is another great place to spend a night out. On Thursdays, all of the ladies who go to the club get in for free. Also, every month, the ladies can try their hand at winning 1,000 dollars in the Ms. Peabody's Pageant. Every Friday night is free for the people who bring their college ID with them. Then on Saturday nights, Peabody's throws a huge beach party bash with a live DJ. Plus, for the people who get there before 9:00 in the evening, there is an American Idol Contest that they can participate in. Thursdays to Saturdays you can throw your own dance party with Peabody's help, and they can make it the best party that you have ever had. They set up the reservation for a private limousine, dinner reservations, hotel accommodations with an oceanfront view, VIP entrance and a VIP table for free at the club, and even champagne. The provide all you could ask for in a party that you will never forget.

If the club scene is not your thing, and you prefer something a little more laid back and comfortably fun, then Two Step Tidewater is the place for you, which is located in Tidewater. This place has every type of dancing that you can think of, and they also offer classes for dancing if you would like to take the time to learn how to do something new. Here they teach many types of dance, including Swing, Country Western, Latin, and Ballroom.

Even if there isn't much nightlife happening directly in Chesapeake, it is only a stone throw away to visit one of these place, or others, in the neighboring cities.
