Deer Valley Resort it’s a resort you can easily get to as it is only 36 miles away from Salt Lake City International Airport and there are also other major cities that have direct flights to the resort. From the airport you can get to the resort by a rented car or if you book through Deer Valley Central Reservation you can get a ride in a shared van or private car. Getting back is just as easy.If you prepare for your first visit to Deer Valley, what you expect and what you’ll find could be a bit different in a positive sense, that is what you’ll see and experience will be beyond your expectations. You will find a resort in the historic mining town of Park City and set in a secluded mountain. But the beautiful setting is not all; people who know the resort appreciate it for its charm, solitude, exceptional guest and dinning service and ski area service beyond imagination. Everything is done to meet the guests’ requests with a particular attention paid to quality.
Since it was opened in 1981 the resort has been consistent in providing the same quality service and more as it continues to improve its image. So far the Sultan chairlift has been expanded and hopefully the Sterling chairlift will be modernised to a high-speed detachable quad.
Just as in other resorts, kids are included in the program and it's a pity to leave them at home. Trained ski instructors will do everything to help the kids aged 3 to 12 learn how to ski, but skiing is not compulsory, you can bring them even if they don't fancy skiing as there are plenty of other outdoor or indoor activities to keep them entertained as well as child supervision. During the summer season they also offer a Kid's Summer Adventure Camp.
Adults are not left out, just as the kids they can choose from a multitude of other not snow related activities. Deer Valley resort offers them the possibility to relax in one of the spas and health clubs, go on an old fashioned sleigh ride and in summer they can have fun at the Deer Valley Music Festival featuring the Utah Symphony and Opera and many other concerts held in the Outdoor Amphitheatre while at Royal Street Café you can have outdoor deck dining and enjoy the view. The more active ones can choose a hot air balloon ride in winter and maybe summer while mountain biking, hiking are exclusive summer activities.
With an incredibly varied terrain, you'll definitely find runs that fit your skiing or snowboarding style. There are four mountains to practice on for every level of skier. There is something for everyone; beginners can practice on all the four mountains, intermediate skiers have famed, groomed runs at their disposal while the advanced skiers are lucky to ski on uncrowded black-diamond runs.
Those seeking a bit of adventure should head to the TNT Park, the short for Tricks 'n' Turns Terrain. You shouldn’t miss it especially if you paid for the lift ticket as the entrance price to the TNT Park is included. There are some small jumps and fun boxes you will definitely enjoy. They can also enjoy the excitement of NASTAR racing, the largest recreational ski race program in the world. For the early hour people of intermediate skiing ability level, there’s is a program that provides private, early lift access and guided skiing from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m called First Tracks.
Night entertainment includes over ninety restaurants, bars and private clubs located throughout the area.
