San Antonio Nightlife, Texas

Pretty much, San Antonio has everything you could want for nightlife entertainment.  They have tequila bars and wine bars, venues with live music, hot dance and comedy clubs, and so many other choices for entertainment.  The River Walk is one of the most happening spots in San Antonio, as this is where you can find a variety of bars that are all within a short walking distance from each other.

The V bar is one of the bars that you can find at River Walk, which overlooks the area in the Hotel Valencia.  This cosmopolitan and intimate bar was designed for weekenders to sip, converse, and survey each other discreetly.  The factor of elegance sends a lot of the college kids away, so the bar draws discerning tourists and professionals instead.  Local artists and Djs contribute to Vbar's relaxing ambiance, which is a great place to get warmed up for your night ahead.

One great place to go to is Limelight.  This is a venue that has live music, attracting the devoted audiophile and college crowd due to its smoke filters, drink specials, and great sound.  You can listen to up and coming bands that are local, such as Girl in a Coma, during your time of sipping on your choice of wine, scotch, and 35 different kinds of beer.  This place is only for those who are 21 and older, and cover fees vary.

The Blue Star Brewing Company is a great spot that you can go to enjoy the nightlife of San Antonio.  It is tucked among the workspaces and galleries of the Blue Star Arts Complex, and they use their own creative thinking to make delicious beer.  The interior of the building gives the Blue Star Brewing Company a natural and industrial feel.  Locals come here before they go to the First Friday Art Walk every month on South Alamo Street.

The Dolce Ultra Lounge has conquered the nightlife revolution of San Antonio.  This lounge is a rightfully pretentious and sophisticated new bar that is irresistible.  The bar is home to their signature watermelon martini, and while you sip on that, you can enjoy Cantini's impressive tricks, who is the resident magician-mentalist of the bar.  There are no cover fees for this bar, and the dress code doesn't allow you to wear flip-flops or shorts.

One of San Antonio's first bars to celebrate and recognize the growing prosperity of the city is Zen Bar Ultra Lounge.  This bar began the trend of beautifully, exclusive designed places where young urbanites could hang out.  The dramatic use of the color red and Buddha motif create an otherworldly, Far East feel.  The dancing may be awkward in this bar because of its size, but the DJ selection makes up for that.  There are two fountains that comprise the outdoor courtyard's centerpieces, which is a great place for hanging out.  It is also a plus that there are no cover charges for this bar.
