Bringing Back The Old Country Life!
At the time of being the seat for the Davidson County, the city of Nashville also happens to be the capital of the US state, Tennessee. It has become the hub for several important industries starting from music, healthcare, banking, transportation and banking. Apart from all this, you could also check out the wonderful sightseeing spots in Nashville, especially the mentioned ones:
Parthenon in Centennial Park -To commemorate the centenary of Parthenon in Centennial Park, the people of Nashville had brought up the great building of the Parthenon with the statue of Athena inside the temple. The entire replica is of the same size as that of the original in Athens, Greece. This place itself holds to be Nashville’s museum exhibiting several artifacts, which may be changed over the time or are permanent.
General Jackson Showboat is a huge paddle wheel boat that brings back the memories from the prime days of Mark Twain, indulging you in gambling and Cumberland parties. There are different cruises available that allow you to hear great live music concerts, like that of Broadway. At the evening cruises, people are taken special care of, along with the dinner and lunch cruises, which are mainly part of holiday cruises.
Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art
It started in the early American period and was originally built in Georgian style. Most of the paintings, which are displayed here, are the ones moved from the Ashcan school of modern innovative art. There are also other things of interest for you including the Worcester Porcelain.
Belle Meade Plantation Belle Meade Plantation is a great place to see the ravages of the American Civil War, as there are several bullet marks that are visible over the walls and pillars of the building present here. Earlier, it had been the biggest thoroughbred farms of the continent, but now due to lack of maintenance things have changed greatly over the years.
Grand Ole Opry is ideal for the country music lovers, who come over here to hear radio programs, which run the longest. However, at a certain point in time, several upcoming stars of the country music come over to perform over there.
