Redmond, Oregon, the United States was traditionally based on agriculture. The city was discovered by Frank T. Redmond in 1905 and hence was named after him. In 1911 the town had an estimated population of one thousand people which grew to 23,000 in 2006. Redmond was used as a U.S Air Force Base during the 1940’s which later on led to the establishment of commercial air service after World War II. The city offers low cost of living, employment opportunities and better standards of life, all reasons for its rapid rate of population growth in the past few years.

Redmond experiences mild climate throughout the year with slight snowfall in winter.

This quiet city also offers several outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, horse riding, hiking, biking, rock climbing, golfing, kayaking, water skiing and snow boarding.
