What’s most interesting about Islip is that the township still has some vacant land that can be developed as per requirement.

Infrastructure and Economy

Islip has excellent infrastructure - an infrastructure that promises the people residing in Islip high standards of living. The Islip people are affluent and enjoy a safe and secure life away from health-threats and crime-related fears. Of course, this has not been achieved in a day and has been the result of the active efforts of the Chamber of Commerce. With good number of industries, the city has sound economic standards.

Talking of vacationers and touring business people, Islip is a safe heaven. Islip has its own landing field, the Mac Arthur airport, which connects you to important American cities. The place has well developed road/railway network; though the locals mostly use their own vehicles, you can have access to various public means of transport. A number of cultural events and festivities are celebrated in Islip but the most popular one is the annual St. Patrick's Day parade, which is held on the first Sunday of March. English is the language used by most.

The people of the city are very particular about cleanness and do everything to keep the town clean. Politically conscious and earnest patriots, the Islips will always extend the best kind of hospitality to outsiders.
