Bemidji, MN US – Overview of the great place
Bemidji is a great city of Beltrami County in Minnesota and serves as an unofficial home for Babe the Blue Ox and Paul Bunyan. This city is actually the county seat for Beltrami County and lies by the southwest shore of the Lake Bemidji. This is the northernmost lake that feeds Mississippi river. This is also one of those places where people simply love to come in their vacations with their loved ones to have some quality time in the lap of nature amidst rustic and beautiful environment.
Great city with interesting people
Bemidji is actually medium sized and a very beautiful city that has quite interesting people living here. The people of Bemidji are very hospitable and warm. There are are numerous shops, restaurants, bars and other interesting places where you can have a great time. This area serves as a tourists’ paradise and different souvenirs can be bought. The old downtown is towards the very left of the highway that leads to this enchanting city. The very pretty lake stretches northwards and it is carefully lined with access points and large hoes providing a spectacular view of the place. As the main street via the town bends to the left, it leads to the imporatnt commercial town center.
Bemidji Culture
Bemidji basically is a small and pretty college town that has strong artistic influences. The very streets of the city are lined up beautifully with petite shops and are adorned well with great sculptures and various other public art forms. The Concordia Language Villages that are situated near the city have great influence as well. When the summer season is on, there is the non- equity, summer-stock theater by Paul Bunyan Playhouse.
Great place for curling sports fans
Bemidji sports are great. The city happens to be a great place to visit for the fans of curling sports all over the globe. This is so because curling is very famous and widely practiced here. Both women and men are quite professional and also won the right to represent the US in the World Curling Championship of 2005 and the Winter Olympics of 2006 in Torino, Italy.
