Valdosta Sights and Landmarks Guide, Georgia

Valdosta is one of the many cities of Georgia, USA that is situated at the remote southern part of the state close to the Florida line. It may not be a major city in the country but there are a lot of attractions to explore while in the place. Valdosta Sights are as captivating as the Tallahassee Sights and as breathtaking as the Atlanta Sights.

Valdosta Sights – Historical and Cultural Structures

There are several beautiful sights that tourists can enjoy while visiting Valdosta City. Among them are the following historical structures.

Valdosta Lowndes County Museum. This museum was established in the year 1967. It is a non-profit institute that is committed to guard and conserve the magnificent history of Valdosta as well as that of Lowndes County. The museum hosts around 10,000 square feet of ancient exhibits and study data.

Archives & Tours. This site exhibits magnificent traditions of Southern Georgia and includes a lot of unusual and attractive pieces such as remnants of uniforms and weapons used during the Civil War and World Wars I & II. Bibles, chronological data dating back to 1840’s and unique ground symbols used to shape the county lines are found here as well.

Crescent. If you are a lover of architecture, you should visit this site. It is a spectacular mansion which was built in neoclassical fashion.

Valdosta Sights - Amusement at Wild Adventures Park

Wild Adventures Park is just one of the best Valdosta Sights that you and your kids will enjoy. Among a list of enjoyable amusement places within the park are the following:

Splash Island. This has six huge water rides and thousands of amusement choices for the whole family.

Catch-a-Wave Bay. This is the site where you can watch the breathtaking waves in a 20,000 square foot wave pool. The amazing waves come into view every 15 minutes.

Tri-Phoon. If you want daring enjoyment in the Wild Adventures Park, you can try this waterslide. It features three special waterslides for you to pick from including whooshing along a big pipe, immersing along the green slide, or falling along the blue slide.

Paradise River and Rain Fortress. You can enjoy and relax at this site by just watching the beauty of its water containers and water cannons.

Valdosta Sights – Other Activities

There are still a lot of important tourist attractions in Valdosta like the Hahira Honey Bee Festival, Winter Festival, and the Greater Valdosta Christmas Parade.
