Santa Clarita Sights and Landmarks Guide, California
Santa Clarita, CA US - Sights: Home of some the greatest coasters in the world
A half-an-hour drive from Los Angeles will give us the abundance and beauty of California sunshine and plethora of fun for all ages. Santa Clarita houses Six-Flags Magic Mountains. It also boasts wine lounges, coveted golf courses, fine dining, western heritage, music events and retail shopping. The beauty of this small town is very nicely juxtaposed with the advancement of a large urban center.
The Mountainasia Family Fun Center is more than just a family and fun center with list of attractions ranging from go-karts to miniature golf, battling cages to bumper boats, laser tag to rock climbing wall and redemption games to restaurants and ice cream parlor. Farrell’s and Mountainasia are open daily.
Housing the world’s greatest coasters, the Six Flags Magic Mountains has over 100 games, rides and attractions. Here you can find:
· ‘X2’: the world’s one and only 5- dimensional thriller roller coaster ride
· Tatsu: the longest and fastest flying coaster on earth
· Scream: the floorless coaster
· Revenge: the fastest and tallest stand up roller coaster
· GOLIATH: the coaster giant
The characters in Justice League including Superman and Batman are positioned throughout the park. Again, you can also find Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny and Sylvester as the Looney Tunes characters. The children’s favorite, ‘Thomas the tank Engine’ is also there in the newly created Thomas Town.
The Six Flags Hurricane harbor assures us of entertainment throughout the day. There is Tornado- fun, stretching a height of six stories, Black Snake summit-the speed lines, Lizard lagoon- spreading over 7,000 square feet; it is for teen and adult fun activities, Bamboo racer- a six lane racing attraction. The list also includes ‘Cast-Away cove’, a water kingdom.
To add to the list is ‘Fin’s Glow Zone’. For golf freaks, it is a one stop destination. The most adventurous part of this place is that it has an 18-hole golf course with glow-in-the-dark facility. It is perfect place to hang out with family or friends, for birthday parties, field trips, team parties, youth groups and fund raisers.
There is Ed Davis Park where one can find outdoor settings with mountain bike trails and hiking, natural woodlands and streams.
In Mentryville, one can enjoy the 19th century western structures. It gives a flashback of California’s ‘Black Gold’ boom town era.
