Oakland History

Earlier in 1869, the churches were from the Baptist or Lutheran background, which was moved by Covenants. The Methodists came later to further promote Free Mission Churches, which are seen so frequently nowadays. It had been almost confirmed that by the end of 1879, the railroad would be completed over Oakland urging several people to raise funds for purchasing the current town site. read more
