Fresno is the sixth largest city in the state of California. It has estimated population of 500,000 people. Fresno is situated 200 miles away from Los Angles and 170 miles in the south of capital. The name Fresno derived from a Spanish word for Ash Tree. Fresno is full of cultural, historical and natural attractions. Fall Wine Cornucopia
The Fall Wine Cornucopia is a historical place exhibiting regional art. The San Joaquin Valley is a big producer of wine in California.
Forestiere Underground Gardens
They are spectacular subterranean creations built 40 years ago. It features passageways, a large number of chambers, courts and patios. The garden exhibits the culture and traditions of Fresno.
Fresno Art Museum
The Fresno Art Museum puts up a series of exhibitions through the year. A lot of art programs, classical films, festivals, anime and exhibitions are hosted in Fresno Art Museum. It is situated in the Radio Park.
Fresno Metropolitan Museum
It features traveling exhibitions and the museum also has a science center called Reeves ASK Science Center. It was built in partnership with San Francisco's Exploratorium. The museum also hosts outreach events annually. The museum’s Fresno Bee Building is currently closed for renovation and is scheduled to reopen in November, 2008.
Meux Home Museum
It was built in 1889 and it is one of the best Victorian structures in Fresno’s oldest and preserved homes. It has intricate gingerbread ornamentation, turreted roof and octagonal bedroom.
Save Mart Center
It is one of the best professional level indoor arenas in Fresno. It was completed in 2003 and it is famous for hosting musical events and different types of exhibitions. It also serves as a home to Fresno State Men's & Women's Basketball teams.
Warnors Theatre
It is located in Downtown Fresno and opened for the public in 1928. The theater is also famous for playing silent movies.
Fresno Grand Opera is a world-calls opera famous for producing a large number of grand concerts throughout the year.
Fresno County Blossom Trail
It features one of the most productive agricultural lands in Fresno. It also features many orange, plum and almond trees making it a wonderful and worth-seeing place.
