This city is named by colonel Gus Knobel who lived here for many years. Colonel Knobel wrote the name Tex-Ark-Ana on the blackboard and mentioned that this is the name of the upcoming city which is currently known as Texarkana. This is the meeting place of three borders so he named it including Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.
This city is known for its unique diversities and rich culture. Texarkana offers numerous historical buildings, festivals, stock car races, art exhibitions and music. Shopping, outdoor sports, hospitality and restaurants can be enjoyed here.

Texarkana is situated at the main junction of interstate highway 30 and the US highways 59, 71 and 83. This city has a total area of 25.7 square miles, the land covers almost 25.6 square miles and 0.1 square miles is covered by water.
