The mosques in the town also speak of architectural magnificence of the older times. One such famous mosque is the blue mosque. The buildings in the older part of the city such as the Batin area let you get a glimpse of the great architectural craftsman ship of the people of previous centuries.

Abu Dhabi is backbone of the economy of UAE. Earlier the nation’s economy was dependent on the pearl industry. But in the sixties Abu Dhabi began exporting oil giving a boost to the economy of the nation. Since then there was no looking back for the city. The huge oil exports attracted good number of foreign investors. The city became a financial capital of the nation. An estimate shows that the city holds around nine percent of the world’s oil reserves making it one of the richest cities of the world. Rocketing skyscrapers and magnificent hotels speak of the prosperity of the cosmopolitan. The city holds a sound infrastructure. The living standard of the people of Abu Dhabi is quite high.

Abu Dhabi may seem a modern city but the people here want to hold their values strongly. They respect their culture and beliefs.
