Lviv Travel Guide - Transport
Lviv International Airport is less than 10 kilometres away from the city centre, and it can be easily reached by bus or taxi. The airport has frequent connections to several large north-western cities such as Warsaw, Vienna or Frankfurt. The distance between Kiev and Lviv, almost 300 miles, can be quite a chore if you’re travelling by bus or train, but luckily you also have the option of travelling by plane. You can find a domestic flight from Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk or Odessa. However, if you’re already in Europe and you’re on a budget, the simplest and most affordable way to reach Lviv is by train. You can easily find a train to Krakow, where there are a daily rides to Lviv. You can also travel by bus to Lviv from several cities in the neighbouring countries, for example Warsaw, Lublin, Wroclav. Since Lviv is relatively close to the Polish border, these bus ride only take about 2-3 hours. Once you’ve arrived in Lviv, you won’t have much trouble getting around. The city’s public transport network is quite extensive, and you can a tram or a minibus to take you from any part of the city to another.
