Here, visitors can stroll through the museum displays and modern art exhibits. They can also listen to jazz, chamber concerts and world music gigs or watch ballet and modern dance programs. When feeling tired from exploring this museum, visitors can stop by a bar and restaurant to eat or just stay in the living room to relax.
Beredskapsmuseet. The only museum of its kind in Sweden, Beredskapsmuseet is found in an underground hollow center from World War II. Guests are treated to display of works and gears that tell the story of the Swedish Armed Forces during the Second World War.
Helsingborg Sights – Historical Landmarks
Helsingborg has many landmarks which are full of history dating back to the medieval times until the 20th century. Each of these Helsingborg Sights has a story to tell. Tourists will both be delighted by the history surrounding these landmarks and the architectural style of the sites.
Karnan Tower. The tower is located on the elevation above the main square of Helsingborg. Karnan is the only remaining part of the castle which was built in the city during The Middle Ages. Visitors who are willing to climb up the stairs of the towers will be rewarded with a superb view of Helsingborg.
Sofiero Castle. The construction of the castle was through the order of the Crown Prince Oscar and his wife Sofia. Since 1885, this was the Royal summer residence. After King Gustav’s death in 1973, the castle underwent reconstruction to its original state. When visiting the castle during the summer, tourists can stroll through exhibitions put up in the palace.
Helsingborg Sights – Recreation
Helsingborg visitors can experience good recreational activities in certain places that are perfect for relaxation and leisure. These sights are compared to Copenhagen Sights.
Fredriksdal Gardens. This area has a total of 36 hectares of parks with herb gardens. Guests will be acquainted with the peasant culture and can enjoy the view of fantastic natural and cultural landscapes.
The Sound. This is considered as one of the best fishing sites found in Scandinavia. It is especially fun to visit the Sound during summer, when it is possible to catch garfish, flat-fish, herring and the “summer cod”.
