Seoul, the capital of South Korea is the fifth largest city in the world. It is one of the favorite destinations of tourists from all over the globe. The natural attire of the city will enchant you. The sparkling waters of Han River divide the city into two. The rocky cliffs encircle the city giving it a natural magnificence. The best time to visit is Seoul is during autumn which offers mild climate making your stay and travel comfortable in Seoul.

Architectural Heritage

The ancient temples and palaces of Seoul speak of the past of the city. One of the most remarkable monuments in the city is the Seoul Tower. Another architectural marvel is the Hwaseong Palace. The nearby Yongjusa Temple is another great piece of constructions from the older times.

Infrastructure and economy

Seoul was almost destroyed in the Korean War. The reconstruction of the city started in 1960. Efforts of the government came out to be fruitful and Seoul started moving on the path of economic development with quick steps. In 1988, Seoul was the host for the Olympics which brought a lot of attention from foreign companies. Today, Seoul is the head quarter of many known brands like Samsung, Hyundai, LG etc. The city is the major exporter of machinery, automobiles and electronics. Seoul is now the economic backbone of South Korea. The unemployment levels in the city are very low. The city has a sound infrastructure that speaks of its high economic standards.

People and culture

The people of Seoul are extremely social, helpful, kind and down to earth. The culture of Seoul is very fascinating. The people of Seoul are modern but very close to their traditions. It is a unique experience to know the beliefs and traditions of the people of this city. Knowing a bit of Korean is the best way to come close to the people and get an insight to their traditions and culture. The major religion of the people here is Buddhism but you will come across a good number of people following other religions like Christianity and Judaism. The people of Seoul are very tolerant and respect every religion.
