Vila Nova de Gaia Porto Calem. Porto Calem was established by Antonio Alves Calem in 1859. The winery was dedicated for the production, ageing and commercialization of Port Wine and Douro DOC Wines. Varieties of wine like Tawny, Ruby and White were offered in 1934. The reconstruction of Calem’s Cellars in 2006 made it different from the American Award Best of Wine Tourism. Porto Calem is one of the wineries in Portugal that is worth visiting because of the wine’s world class quality.

Aside from the library and museum, the House of Ramos Pinto is also famous of its production of well known wines. It has received different awards in international competitions making it gain a number of gold medals and trophies. In the International Wine Challenge 2008, Library Collection, Ramos Pinto is the only one that received three awards from its wine collections.
