Cunningham Clock tower

It was built with the occasion of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. It is situated east Chowk Yadgar. There are two and three storey houses with curved balconies. Once, the rich merchants of the city were living in these houses.

Mahabat Khan Mosque

It is one of the finest mosques of the city. It is situated near the Chowk Yadgar. It was built under the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1630. It was renovated in 1898. Both the interiors and exteriors of the mosques are decorated with great craftsmanship.

Peshawar Museum

Peshawar Museum is a great place to explore the history, culture and traditions of Peshawar. It features a wide variety of historical monuments and objects. The museum has a great Victorian Mughal-Gothic hall. The museum has the largest collection of the Gandharan art.

Bala Hisar Fort

It is a great historical fort built by Babur in 1526. It served as a residence for the Afghan Durrani dynasty. Bala Hisar Fort was rebuilt by Sikhs in 1834. The fort is now being used as a military base and headquarters.

Islamia College

It is a wonderful college founded in 1913. It has a great Victorian style building and clock tower. Islamia College features a great garden and contemplative atmosphere.

It is one of the most popular bazaars in Peshawar. The bazaar is full of tea, clothes, jewelry and electronics shops.

Ziarat Rahman Baba

Rahman Baba was a great poet of the 17th century. Ziarat Rahman Baba is a contemplative place for people. On every Thursday night great Sufi Devotional singing events are held, which attract a large crowd from Peshawar and other parts of the NWFP province.

Army Stadium

It is a big park situated in the posh locality of the city. It features some good restaurants and shops. Visitors come here to have fun and joy. Army Stadium also features a well planned canal. It served as a great picnic spot for the people of all types.
