Faisalabad Nightlife, Pakistan

Faisalabad, Pakistan does not have a night life in the traditional sense of the word.  The majority of the population in Pakistan is Muslim, and it is illegal for Muslims to drink or possess alcohol of any kind in Pakistan.

 There are however, a couple of restaurants that warrant mentioning.  Chacha Samosay Wala is well known for its wonderful samosas.  The best Chinese food can be found at the Exotica Café, Namwah, Qulim, and the Pearl Garden.  All of these places are owned and operated by people of Chinese origin. Barbeque is very popular in Faisalabad, Pakistan.  A great place to go for barbeque is Bundu Khan, and it is opening a second restaurant in Faisalabad soon. Shopping is a popular pastime in this city. 

You’ll find several items are worth the time and money to find here, such as linens, towels, clothing, and soaps.  There are a couple of high end clothing stores, but most of the stores are very inexpensive, especially when it comes to clothes. A popular night spot is D ground, which is made up of several shops and restaurants.  This is where many of the tourists and the locals go to spend an evening out and about.

The city is usually very quiet after about 10 pm.  However, earlier in the evening there are a great many parks to visit.  Some even have waterfalls to sit beside and relax. 

Faisalabad, Pakistan is a unique city, rich in culture and history.  There are some etiquette rules that should be obeyed as well.  Any type of public affection is highly frowned upon, even by married couples.  Alcohol can be found through some underground means, however, you are risking trouble if you are caught.  Use common sense and know you can still have a good time here in Faisalabad.
