 The capital city of Mauritius - Port Louis isn’t devoid of entertainment options. It has a busy bustling rocking nightlife that will put many happening party towns to shame.

LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES is a popular discotheque with an open air bar, a sprawling patio and a medium sized dance floor located indoors.

This discotheque is a cross between a nightclub and a bar and is rather conventional. Retro music is its high point harking back to the era of the 1980s. No one complains about it and it is popular with all, but it is appreciated the most by people in their middle ages. The nightclub stays open on Saturdays, Fridays and Wednesdays.

It is a big hit with the rich and famous in the city and young party hoppers make a beeline for this happening party joint to let their hair down and party all the night. The wildness reaches a crescendo towards the approach of dawn

It has a liberal dress code of smart casual and is filled with capacity crowd during weekends. It is a good place to see and be seen and is very popular with the slightly older generation and the jet-setters.

The other happening party destination in town is the BUDDHA CLUB on Royal Road near the Grand Bay. The name of this discotheque is uncannily similar to the BOUDDHA BAR in Paris. It started out as a fun bar. Later on, it was transformed into a crowded nightclub with a very decent guest base that never cross the limit of decency.

Most of the nightclubs in Mauritius have free entry facility and this one is no exception. It remains open on Saturdays, Fridays and Wednesdays.

This one plays house music along with the latest international chartbusters and hit tracks from pop albums. As a result, the younger peppy crowd likes to frequent this club more often to groove and gyrate to the foot tapping numbers and party all the night.

If you are not so fond of dancing, you can choose to lounge around in the bar with a cocktail to give you company. You can try out salsa moves, cha-cha-cha, rumba, flamenco and other sensuous Latin ball room dance forms on the dance floors here. The predominantly young party crowd will cheer you on wildly and join in the revelry.
