Curepipe is a small sleepy township towards the center of the Mauritius Island. Its main fame rests on its shopping areas and people hitch a ride from far and wide to shop in this township on the market days. In fact, Curepipe is popularly known as the Market Town of Mauritius and this is what contributes to its specialty.

But most people are not aware that Curepipe, sleepy as it might seem from the outside, shakes off its drowsiness and wakes up once the hours of dark start approaching. Curepipe has a rocking nocturnal life and nightlife is at par with that of the capital city of the country.

There are plenty of clubs, bars, pubs, a flourishing casino, nightclubs and discotheques which are filled choc a bloc with capacity crowd dancing or gambling the night away. With a surge in tourist count in recent years, Curepipe has witnessed the development of many luxury hotels which feature their own in house discos, nightclubs, bars and entertainment zones.

These nightclubs and discotheques of Curepipe are open from eleven o’ clock in the night to five o’ clock at dawn. The wildness and mass party fever reach a crescendo towards the dawn. The dress code is smart casual but that doesn’t mean you can turn up in sandals and shorts. You might be denied admission if you are not dressed properly.

Sundays are the off days all over Mauritius and definitely in Curepipe. But these nightspots and party destinations woo the crowd on Fridays, Saturdays and on Wednesdays. Usually the dance floors are packed till the wee hours of the night. The cocktail and sports bars usually close by 2 a.m.

Illusion Disco

This is one of the happening discos in Curepipe located on Sivananda Street, Curepipe Ile Maurice. It is a big hit with revelers and party hoppers.

Zindix Nite Club

This is also a favorite watering hole for the young and the happening crowd.

Casino of Mauritius

It is located on Teste de Buch Street. This casino is a lively entertainment nightspot and one of the chief attractions of Curepipe. Le Casino de Maurice is only a 20 km drive from Port Louis. The table games, gambling hours and the ten touch- bet roulette machines are the same as those offered in any other city in Mauritius.

Trou aux Biches

This one is a fairly new casino which offers diverse entertainment and leisure options.   You can try out scuba diving, deep sea fishing, golf and other such thrills here apart from indulging in regular rounds of gambling.

The casino is fast attaining popularity because of its closeness to wonderful sun kissed silvery beaches. To top it all, an excellent sea food restaurant will surely tickle your taste buds. There are table games, island jackpots, roulette, poker, blackjack and slots to be had in this casino.
