Historically Yokohama is one of the most foreigner-visited cities in Japan being the first port the Shogunate officially opened to trade with the West. Naturally, with trade comes cultural influences and an influx of foreigners. This is why Yokohoma has such a multicultural feel blends of China and Japan expats owning and manning bars. Yokohama’s hearth is not beating just in the hours of the sun, but also and maybe more so when the sun comes down.
