World War II shattered most of the historical structures in Okinawa, but the Japanese naval underground headquarters remained undamaged. It still stands intact in spite of heavy bombardment by the US during the war. Today the sight is one of the most visited places in Okinawa. The place also has a museum which displays various items that were used by the troops during the war. Another historical sight is the Shuri Castle that gives you an opportunity to rediscover the Ryukyuan Kingdom. This beautiful castle is built in mixed Chinese and Japanese style.

Okinawa City Children’s Zoo is a place where your kids will have a blast. With great varieties of animals from all over the world, the zoo has an amusement park, joy rides and other attractions for the kids ((like the one in Hiroshima). Okinawa has some of the best Golf clubs. If you have a taste of the game, do visit Naha Country Club, Bell Beach Golf club or the Royal Golf Club. Do visit acthe Hamby town and the American village to get some of the best souvenirs for your near and dear ones back home.
