The city of Cork happens to be one of the very important cities as well as the administrative hub for the Cork County of Ireland. The name of this city was inspired from the corcach, an Irish word. This was the time when the city of Cork was called as ‘the Rebel County’ and the locals of the city as rebels which has somehow continued till now.

Mostly it is the high pressure days or winter season when the city of Cork experiences foggy days. Now you will be surprised to know that even though the city of Cork faces around 100 foggy days yet it is one of the most sunny cities when compared to many other cities of Ireland. Only around 70 days are such when the city of Cork won’t experience sun shine.
