To start with, one can visit the Shri Chithra Art Gallery located in the museum building of The Napier Museum. Shri Chithra Art Gallery is famous for its historical manuscripts and various sculptures which it houses. This museum also houses some rare collecting of paintings which present before you the history of India visually. Some of the most talked about paintings of this Art Gallery are Raja raja Varma, Raja Ravi Varma, and Nicholas Roerich. Now when you visit the art gallery then you are bound to visit the Museum which was named after General John Napier, the former Governor General of Madras. A famous English architect of those times, Chrisholm, was responsible to design this building as per some unique styles and he did succeed in his purpose very well. The museum is located in the proximity of Kanaka Kunnu Palace and thus this becomes another reason why so many tourists visit this museum.

Then comes the Zoological Park of Thiruvananthapuram which itself is so huge in itself that you might need lengthy hours to enjoy it completely. The zoo of this city is documented to be one of the few Zoos of this country. The botanical garden of this Zoo is another reason why so many people are attracted towards it. It is worth a visit.

And as pointed above, the Kanaka Kunnu Palace is another tourist hot spot for its auspicious design and ultimate stories which are attached to it.

Some other tourist attractions of this city are Veli Tourist Village, Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, The Padmanabhapuram Palace, Shanghumukham Beach, Science and Technology Museum, Reptile House, and the Secretariat.
