Leh is the capital city of Ladakh. This tourist destination is the most popular tourist destination in Ladakh. It is also the most common point of entry for those who are traveling to the Ladakh region. There are two of the world's largest mountain ranges which are surrounded by the serene alpine desert. Leh has many popular tourist attractions such as the Leh Museum, the Leh Palace and the nature including the mountains. There are also a variety of hotels, resorts and pubs.

In fact, Leh offers the tourist a wide range of traditional restaurants, pubs, and bars which all have a very high standard of service. There are many cultural events that occur in these bars and restaurants during the nocturnal hours.  They have cultural activities, they host traditional musical events and traditional countryside pastimes such as maypole, cricket, golf and dancing.

One of the most popular bars to have a great time in Leh is the Hen & Chickens bar. You will find some pubs that are very traditional and which offer the traveler a cultural experience by eating only Indian traditional foods and drinks.

As it is a hilly area endowed with natural beauty there are not many hot spots in terms of clubbing because this region of India focuses more on nature. The shops and hotels are closed at 10 PM. The city becomes dark and isolated after that hour and it is not suggested to go out because there is a type of curfew.  Police there know that nothing is open so you may be questioned if you are seen out after hours.   

However, in the center of town, it is a bit more relaxed and you can enjoy one of the pubs, yet they close down at around 11 PM.  There are different festivals in Leh and you cannot afford to miss them if you are here during a specific Leh festival. These festivals are very interesting and most of them are observed with bands and folk dance. The locals of the city enjoy the festival until late night and you can enjoy some pleasant moments.
