Gorakhpur is situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Gorakhpur is one of those cities of India which lie in the proximity of the Nepal Border. The most famous poet of historical years for India was Kabir (from 1440 to 1518) and he is documented to have lived in a village called Maghar which is around 20 kilometers from the city of Gorakhpur.
