Goa Nightlife, India
Goa is one of those states that are on a holiday for 365 days of the year. Tourism is the major source for economical growth of the state. Along with the sun that shines and attracts the tourists, the nightlife of Goa is the major reason why tourists pour in. Goa’s nightlife is so hip hop that not even some of the most happening cities of India can be compared to Goa in terms of nightlife. Alcohol is easily available in Goa and laws here aren’t that strict when compared to the rest of the country. Of course, nudity, driving while drunk, drugs, and similar things are not permitted in Goa.
Hippies introduced the craze of parties somewhere in 1960 and since then Goa has been going crazy when it comes to parties. Goa parties are more or less Trance parties where the word Trance is the music which was invented by various bands of Goa. In these parties, music, food, and dance are available but under controlled measures. This was done after government became a little stricter against lavish parties that used to take place daily in Goa.
The famous nightlife hotspot of Goa is Anjuna. It is also known as the ‘Freak Capital of this Planet’ due to the madness which is available in its night parties. Huge music systems around the beaches are its signature. These parties are more prevalent during New Year and Christmas. Other then Anjuna there are many famous party spots to enjoy nightlife and some of them are Baga, Calangute, Colva, and Duana Paula. All these are very famous when it comes to parties. Some of the attractions of these hot spots are Tito's for Baga, Temptations for Red Club of Vagator, Ziggy's for Colva, and Lido's for Dauna Paula.
Goa is also famous for its casinos. Even if the government has been trying to limit the running time of casinos to 11 PM, they haven’t succeeded, at least for now. All casinos remain open till morning and offer games like blackjack, roulette, craps, and baccarat. You will find many casinos on cruises while many are situated on land. Some famous casinos of Goa are Casino at Dauna Paula, Treasures Casino Majorda beach resort, Cicade de Goa Beach Resort, and the Gaming Club Leela Palace Hotel.
