Architectural Heritage
The city of Agartala has an impressive architectural heritage. One of the architectural marvels in the city is the Ujjayanta Palace. This palace was once the residence of Manikya kings that ruled the region. The palace was then taken over by the Mughals who added a Mughal touch. Other structures that speak of the architectural superiority of Agartala are Pilak and Venuban Vihara, Kunjaban Palace and Neemahal Palace.

Lately the city has changed drastically. Both public and private sectors can be given credit for its recent development.
