Ajaccio Nightlife – Frequented Restaurants and Bars
Ajaccio nightlife is nevertheless one of the most important aspects when talking about a city 142 miles from Cannes and.Nice.One should mention here the old part of the city which became an interconnecting restaurant terrace amazingly distinguished thanks to the rows of candles that lit during the night in a romantic way to impress tourists who happen to be in, or fall in love at that moment.
A place called “Le Menestrel” once stood for "le rendez-vous des artistes", as it was the place where local musicians used to play café jazz or traditional mandolin and guitar tunes every evening after 7pm rendering an atmosphere preferred mostly by pensioners.
Those who want to overlook the promenade and to relax, chat or dream at a perfect night at the Ligurian seaside are strongly advised to stay for a couple of hours at the breezy location called “Safari”, a cocktail bar placed next to the casino on boulevard Lantivy.
Both the food containing Corsican specialties and the cozy atmosphere are essential when talking about a cheaper restaurant called “L'Amirauté” located right on the quayside of Port de Plaisance.
The Port is also the perfect location for “Le Floride” where local fresh seafood is served in an airy dining hall benefiting from an impressive view over the marina.
With a terrace opened straight on the sandy beach, “Ariadne” invites tourists to listen to live music, dance and cherish the world cuisine at its best in a place considered to be the oldest and the most cheerful of the city’s night locations. Ajaccio Nightlife – Famous Cafes
Old-fashioned cafés and salons de thé offering a more quiet atmosphere can be found on place de Gaulle, but if you’d like to have a wonderful view of the bay do not hesitate to choose and have a sit at one of the many cocktail bars situated on boulevard Lantivy, that also houses a few cinemas and expensive clubs.
“Le Grand Café Napoleon” is the oldest café in town having a décor inspired by the Second Empire period, frequented by people being in their thirties.
