Nicosia is the capital of the country of Cyprus, being located in the center of the island, on the river Pedieos. If you arrive in Nicosia at the end of May, you cannot possibly miss the Cyprus International Fair. It is the largest trade show in the country, as millions of companies from all over the country attend this event in order to exhibit their products and promote their services. If you choose to visit the capital at the end of October, then you will be witness to Cyprus Independence Day, when this amazing country gained its autonomy from the British domination.
